Inspection & TÜV preparation in Bindlach
An inspection is not a formality. Anyone who comes in for regular servicing drives more safely, has fewer breakdowns and saves money in the end, because wear is spotted early. Here in Bindlach you get your inspection to the manufacturer’s specification for all makes: with the right oils, the right filters and the entry in your service book or digital service record.
You are also in the right place before the TÜV test. We go through your car beforehand, fix what the examiner would flag, and you drive off with a new sticker. Customers from Bayreuth, Bindlach and the whole district save themselves the second attempt and the re-test fee.
About TÜV: in Germany every car has to pass a roadworthiness test every two years, the Hauptuntersuchung, usually called TÜV. It is the equivalent of the British MOT. The emissions test, the Abgasuntersuchung, is part of it.
What we do
- Inspection to manufacturer specification: minor and major service according to the maintenance schedule, oil change with filter, air, cabin and fuel filters, spark plugs, brake fluid
- Service book: stamp or entry in the digital service record, resetting the service indicator
- Safety check: brakes, tyres, lights, shock absorbers, steering, suspension, underbody, fluid levels
- TÜV preparation: pre-check against the criteria of the roadworthiness test, faults rectified, vehicle taken to the test centre
- Roadworthiness and emissions test: carried out by TÜV SÜD, DEKRA or KÜS, we drive your car there
- Extras: wipers, bulbs, battery check, air conditioning check, while the car is with us anyway
For the inspection we use workshop data with the manufacturers‘ maintenance schedules. We only fit parts we source ourselves, in original or original-equipment quality. That keeps your manufacturer’s warranty intact even though you are not going to a franchised dealer.

How it works
1Book an appointment
Tell us the make, model, year and mileage, or send a photo of the service book. We check which service is due, order the parts and give you the price. Takes one call or one WhatsApp message, with the quote usually the same day.
2Inspection in the workshop
You drop the car off in the morning, we work through the maintenance schedule and additionally check everything that matters for the TÜV test. A minor service takes about one and a half to two hours, a major one with spark plugs and brake fluid half a day. If we notice something, we call before we repair it.
3Collection and service book
You get the car back with a stamp, an invoice and a list of what is fine and what may be due in the next few months. If the roadworthiness test is to be done at the same time, we book the test slot straight away. Including the TÜV test: one to two days in the workshop, depending on the test slot.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose my warranty if I do not go to a franchised dealer?
No. You may have the inspection done at any garage as long as it works to the manufacturer’s specification and uses parts of original quality. We do both, and the entry in the service book documents it.
How long does an inspection take?
Between one and a half hours and half a day, depending on the scope. If you bring the car in the morning it is ready in the afternoon in most cases. If the roadworthiness test comes on top, it depends on the test slot.
What does an inspection cost?
That depends on the vehicle and the maintenance schedule. Tell us the model and the mileage and you get a fixed price for the inspection in advance. Additional repairs are only carried out after we have spoken to you. The roadworthiness and emissions tests are charged at the test organisation’s own rates.
Do you do the TÜV test yourselves?
The roadworthiness test is carried out by TÜV SÜD, DEKRA or KÜS, and we take the car there. You leave the car with us and collect it with a new sticker. We do the TÜV preparation beforehand so that it passes first time.
What happens if faults are found?
Then we call you, explain what is going on and tell you the price. Nothing is repaired without your go-ahead. Small things such as a bulb we sort out straight away if you tell us in advance that you want that.
Do I need an appointment or can I just turn up?
Please make an appointment, then the parts and the oil are already here and you get the car back the same day. For small jobs you are welcome to drop by and we will see what we can do.
