How it works
1Assessing the damage
Come by or send us photos on WhatsApp. We assess the damage, tell you whether smart repair is enough or whether it becomes a full accident repair, and clarify whether it goes through an insurer. Takes about 20 to 30 minutes on site, photos on WhatsApp usually the same day.
2Estimate and insurance
You get an estimate. For insurance claims we liaise with the assessor and the insurer and take care of the correspondence. You report the claim, we do the rest. Time until approval: two to five working days, depending on the insurer.
3Repair and handover
Smart repair is usually done in one to three hours, a stone chip repair in about 60 minutes, a glass replacement in a day. For accident repair with paintwork allow three to seven days in the workshop. You get the vehicle back cleaned and checked.
Frequently asked questions
Stone chip through the insurance, does that work?
Yes, if you have partial cover, the Teilkasko. Most policies cover the repair of a stone chip in full, often with no excess. If the windscreen has to be replaced you pay your agreed excess and we bill the rest directly to the insurer. Bring your policy number and we take care of the rest.
Do I have to use my insurer’s approved garage?
For a third-party claim caused by somebody else you are free to choose the garage. For comprehensive claims it depends on your policy: if you have a tariff tied to approved garages, the insurer can specify one, otherwise not. We are happy to look at the policy with you.
How long does the repair take?
A stone chip about 60 minutes, smart repair one to three hours, a glass replacement one day, accident repair with paintwork three to seven days in the workshop. The exact time is in the estimate, and we stick to it.
What does the repair cost and do I need an expert report?
For smaller damage our estimate is enough, and you get that free of charge. For larger third-party claims you are entitled to an independent assessor, paid for by the other party’s insurer. We tell you what makes sense in your case. With insurance claims you only pay your excess and we bill the rest directly to the insurer.
What is smart repair and when is it worth it?
Smart repair means only the damaged spot is worked on, not the whole panel. Dents are pushed out, scratches touched up locally. It is worth it for car park damage, trolley dents and scratches up to roughly the size of a hand, and it costs a fraction of a respray.
Can I keep driving with a stone chip?
Briefly yes, but not for long. Heat, cold and vibration quickly turn a stone chip into a crack, and then the whole windscreen has to be replaced. If the chip is in the driver’s field of vision or bigger than a two-euro coin, replacement is the only option anyway. So come straight in.
